The corners of the boards and the tips of the spines are lightly worn; several volumes are lightly chipped at the head of the spine or have faint stains on the edges. On volumes 6 and 8, the boards are slightly warped. Small rip on the edge of volume 21's spine. Owner's stamp on each volume's front endpaper. Otherwise, text clean and binding tight across the set. Home library of literary works, both poetry and prose, by eminent American and British authors and public figures. The primary editor, Bliss Perry (1860-1954), was a respected literary critic and professor who taught at Harvard for decades. Each volume measures approx. 6.75" x 4.5".
