Offprint of this article by the New York attorney from Volume XXXV, No. 1 of this scholarly journal published by the American Legal Studies Association. Interesting association copy, hailing from the collection of Adlai E. Stevenson III (1930-2021), U.S. Senator from Illinois,… who pens a cryptic note in blue fineline to unknown recipient on 3" X 5" slip tipped to inside front wrapper: "Hi / AES / was asked to / forward this / by Allan Ecker / 420 E 61 St. / NY, NY 10065.".

Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Black cloth on boards with white lettering to spine. Book is tight, square, sharp-cornered and free of any markings or flaws inside or out. Fine or better. Black endpapers. Clipped Dust Jacket would be fine but for the clipping and a very minor, almost un…oticeable crease to the top front and a small 1/2" closed tear to top of rear corner. Stated First Edition with publishers code of T 02/76. This novel is based on the theories of Hugh Auchincloss Brown (HAB) which postulated that the earth has gone through a series of global cataclysms. In the novel, a stand-in for Brown is the character of Herbert Allen Boardman. The author also drew from Charles Hapgood's Path Of The Poles theory - that the earth "flips" when the ice accumulates too heavily at the poles. The First printing was very limited as interest in the volume was unknown - only 3,000 copies. This is one of them. Quite Rare - particularly in this condition. 8vo., 566pp. 1st/1st.
