Mistral's companion, Doris Dana, has translated the poems, which are published here in both Spanish and English. The Uruguayan artist Antonio Frasconi has contributed numerous wood…cuts, and Dr. Margaret Bates has written an insightful introduction. This is a second printing of the paperback edition. The first edition appeared in 1971 in both paperback and hardcover editions.
