Jacket considerably worn, with edge wear and rubbng to top and bottom of jacket, spine and folds, spine slightly faded and browned, corn…ers rubbed and bruised, old tape marks to back hinge, flaps stretched, ffep removed. Internally clean and tight, overall a good reading copy only. 765pp. Sir Frank Merry Stenton (1880-1967), was a historian of Anglo-Saxon England, and president of the Royal Historical Society (1937-1945). His' Anglo-Saxon England', in the Oxford History of England series, is widely considered a classic history of the period. A large heavy book, extra postage may be required.
