This old book is clean, solid and in great shape! This is a hardcover book with 1328 pages including many photos and illustrations. The binding is strong with al…l pages firmly attached. The pages are clean with no soiling or writing. There is a two inch closed tear on the bottom of the title page as well as a Broadcast Pioneers Library sticker. The title page shows 1952 as the only date. The light brown covers show some light soiling and light edgewear. We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box.

I was having a hard time finding any reference to this very special and rather rare book about radio and t.v. when I chanced upon an entry in the American Radio History website where I su…ggest you look to see the whole book. I am pleased to offer: 1950 Radio Annual & Television Year Book, edited by Jack Alicoate. This very large hard cover book (6 ¼ x 9 ½ x 2 inches, 1281 pages) was published by the Radio Daily Corporation of New York, dated 1950 as the title suggests. It is bound in leather (?) covered boards with embossed and gilt titles and decorations, on cover and spine. I will offer a few photos of what is called the editorial index which will give you more of an idea of this book. It is cover to cover replete with information and ads related to the radio and television industry in the United States (and elsewhere, including Canada, Cuba and Mexico) and b&w photos of some of the celebrities and stars of the day. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers show some minor edge wear, mostly at the spine tips and the embossed gilt titles are a bit tarnished. Inside, the book is unmarked although a former owner has left his book plate on the front endpaper. The interior pages are clean and bright throughout. The hinges are both intact but owing to its size and unwieldy nature, this large book feels a bit loose although there is no real concern about the integrity of the binding. This book is not ex-library or remainder.
