Spine a bit dulled. A sound copy with secure inner hinges. Outside edges of the text block are foxed. The text is toned but clean. Complete with the folding map at the rear, "The Military Campaigns of Stonewall Jackson" by Monroe F. Cockrell. Poague was a Lieutenant, Captain, Major and Lieutenant Colonel of Artillery, Army of Northern Virginia, CSA, 1861-1865. The memoir was written for his children in 1903.

Dust jacket shows slight shelf creasing and wear, protected in mylar. Binding tight, pages lightly tanned but very clean, no markings. Fold-out map shows light wear. 181 pages. Packaged carefully for shipment in cardboard with U. S. tracking. Oversized or heavy books may require extra postage for priority or international shipment.

CONDITION DESCRIPTION: Covers have old tape stains where previous owner taped down the dj cover. While it protected the DJ, it left stains on the covers as well as the endpapers. Otherwise the book and DJ are VG-VG+. The DJ is now in a new mylar sleeve and remnants of the old tape are removed; unfortunately the adhesive staining from the tape remains. CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: Well done publication of an excellent personal narrative of a Confederate artilleryman. Well edited, done with care. REFERENCES: Nevins I, 147:"One of the few good recollections by a Confederate artilleryman; Col. Poague relied on several published works to refresh his memory.".

Hard Cover. Condition: Good+. No Jacket. This is an interesting binding as the whole book including the wraps was than bound in a hard cover binding which has moderate wear. There is some soiling to the page edges and the pages are clean and there is a map that is folded and loose in the book of the battle. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Soft cover. Condition: Good. First Edition. Good. Wraps with some foxing/soiling to top quarter of front panel, plus a few minor nicks and short tears. Previous owner name/date in ink on front endpage. Includes folding map tucked inside rear flap. Map is in excellent shape. 78 pages.

Paperback. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Minor shelf and handling wear, overall a clean solid copy with minimal signs of use. Secure packaging for safe delivery.

Special autographed edition signed by the editor. Navy blue boards with gilt lettering on the spine, have minor shelf wear, slight fading along the bottom edges. Page edges lightly soiled/staoned and what appears to be someone's name written lightly in pencil. The pictorial dust jacket is badly torn, has some big chips and tears, creasing, staining, soiling.
