Seller: Tangible Tales, Eugene, OR, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Good. Reprint. Hardcover with gilt titles and cover device, rebound in heavy leather with the original front and rear strips overlaid on the new covers. A good+ copy, with some damp staining along the page edges and soiling to the bottom textblock edge and endpapers. Lengthy pencilled note to the front endpaper from the previous owner, and a name in pencil at the top of the final advert at rear, otherwise text appears to be unmarked. Hinges and binding are solid (strong rebind as mentioned above). 789pp., indexed, black and white illustrations and one fold-out map. Seward's travels to Asia, India, Egypt, Palestine, Europe, the US and more. This title is notorious for losing it's spine strip, so the rebind is actually a positive in this rare case.
