Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. This VERY SCARCE 304 pp. book is the story of 50 years work from 1865 - 1915, of this branch of Kentucky Baptists. It includes many photos & sketches compiled from unpublished manuscripts and other sources. Any written sources from the Post Civil War era, on Blacks are very SCARCE because of the prejudice of the times. The book is clean and totally unmarked. The first blank flyleaf and the last are both darkened brown, where I imagine newspaper clippings were once laid-in. Externally, there is light corner bumping & standard soiling, BUT the book still presents well, especially for being 109 years old.
