Hardcover. Condition: Poor. No Jacket. cxcvi + 511 + 264 pages, An acceptable condition copy of this work on the works of Horace - Latin text with translations into French, Spanish, English and German. In fairly robust condition and it appears to have been rebound at some stage during its life of 180+ years. The label stuck to the spine is slightly chipped and partly coming away; covers and spine are slightly marked, edge- and corner-worn, bumped and a little discoloured; some pages are a little torn and many are corner-bent; foxing and other marks common throughout book but seldom excessively so; all pages roughly-cut, on side and bottom edges, at production. Assessed as in poor condition overall, taking into account the age of the book, especially its text pages. PLEASE NOTE! This is a heavy book (in excess of 3kg when packed) but postage/shipping within UK is included in the indicated pricing for 3-5 days shipping time option. For an order outside of UK or an order within UK for 1-3 days shipping time option, however, I will be asking for an additional contribution towards shipping costs.

In overall robust condition and it appears to have been rebound at some stage during its life of 180+ years. The label stuck to the spine is partly coming away, covers and spine are slightly marked, edge- and corner-worn, bumped and a little discoloured. Handwritten note, dated 1929, on page opposite half-title. Slight weaknesses in the binding showing at half-title page and just a few others. Marks on the half-title page and the half-title itself is slightly scratched. Foxing and other marks common throughout book but seldom excessively so and most pages are clean - examples of both appear in accompanying images. Many pages are corner-bent and all pages are roughly-cut at production - again, see images supplied (and more are available if requested). Assessed as in fair condition overall, taking into account the age of the book, especially its text pages. PLEASE NOTE!
