First Edition. Good condition. Full calf leather binding with decorative gilt toolling on edges of boards and art nouveau gilt dentelles inside boards. Five raised bands and elaborate gilt decoration on spine with red title panel. Marbled endpapers and content very clean. All edges have heavy gilt. Neat name and date of 1895 on front free endpaper. Front hinge split but book still together. Hardback. No dj.

Gilt Floral Decoration in all spine compartments except the 2nd which has the title. Gilt decoration on board edges and blind tooled decoration on inner borders where the leather meets the endpapers. Marbled Endpapers and Page edges. A Memoir of Shakespeare and Shakespeare's Will precede the Plays & Poetry. The Glossary is at the back. 1136 Pages, 1.1 Kilos, 8" Tall. Some edge wear to leather with very small pieces missing at spine ends. Some Gilt rubbed away from the spine, including the title thought the Indented design & Lettering is very clear (see photos). Title Page Loose. No frontispiece. A few spots of foxing to half title page, Title Page and Preface but only an occasional spot thereafter.
