Soft Cover. Condition: Poor. First Edition. ----------4 jungle adventure pulp magazines, standard pulp size. Each issue features a Ki-Gor novel by John Peter Drummond, and other jungle tales. All 4 magazines are COVERLESS, but the covers are replaced by color photos of excellent originals, and look great. George Gross is the likely cover artist. The spines show only the date and Jungle Stories in black lettering on plain white, and the back covers are plain white. A couple of the volumes have the wraparound color copy cover detached from the pulp body. Page 3-4 is missing from the Winter 1942 issue, but there is no story text absent. The set must be classified as poor due to having no original covers, but they are very attractive in appearance none the less, and all stories are intact.

[Poetry] FIRST EDITION. Octavo (19 x 13cm), pp.[2]; 83; [1]. Red soft, typographic covers with publisher's advertisements to back with printed price of 2/6 to front flap. Toning to edges of textblock, wearing and soiling to red covers, creasing to spine. Very good. This selection of poetry, curated by Oxford undergraduates, demonstrates the talents of aspiring poets. The publisher suggests that although 'none of these poets is yet known to the world' this 'volume will at once establish their reputation, and bring them a public ready to watch their futures development'. This group of eight poets were a close knit group of friends brought together by their study. During their university days, Sidney Keyes and John Heath-Stubbs ran The Cherwell Magazine (Oxford's oldest student magazine). Although, sadly, Keyes' died in action in 1943, and perhaps is now best known for his war poetry. When curating their collection, they say in the foreword, that 'all the poems published in this book have been written since the beginning of the present war' and that the verse collected here is the 'most interesting, most typical, and most hopeful for the future.'.
