Hardcover. First. First edition. Dark blue-green buckram lettered in gilt; 147 pps. A total of 31 photographic illustrations on 13 plates, plus diagrams. Very scarce instructional work on the game of tennis. In addition to chapters on style, equipment, strokes, volleys, the singles game, the doubles game and match play, there is a chapter on "Hints for Women" amd "The Psychology of Tennis". A good copy, rubbing to the cloth at tips and edges and shallow fraying head and tail spine ends.
