Contains the introduction and numerous well known tales including the Fisherman and the Genie, Sinbad etc. With engravings throughout. 4to. 336pp. No date but c. 1870. No title page and ends abruptly, so incomplete. Using an unidentified translation. Covers have general wear and some label residue to cover. Contents clean and tight. Good.

Few spots of foxing, boards detached but present, fraying to head and tail of backstrip otherwise a very good copy. Rare volume, 26 numbers of 43 published before it was absorbed by The English Mechanic and Mirror of Science and Art. Heavy book. First edition.

Front end papers split but unmarked. This is all issues published from October 1869 thru July 1870. It then merged with another publication. Quite scarce and very interesting with lots of neat illustrations. Contents remarkably clean and tight with no foxing or stains. 1128 pages.
