This is a mock-up done by Edwards himself, with handpainted cover illustration and lettering (with his intertwined initials). Next, there is a mock-up title page written… in pencil and colored in red and blue, with an original pencil sketch of a young Quaker woman. Next is a first verse of a poem entitled "Old Lavender" written in pencil by Edwards with hand drawn flowers and an hourglass. Next is a full page pencil and watercolor sketch of a young Quaker woman as a frontispiece. Next is another mock-up title page written in orange watercolor and highlighted in pencil. Next is a mock-up copyright page in pencil with a watercolor hourglass, dated 1914 and SIGNED BY GEORGE WHARTON EDWARDS. Next is an illustration of a young lady with trees in the background to be used as a chapter head. There is also a pencil sketch of a young woman's face on the last page, and on a page just before are pencil notes SIGNED BY GEORGE WHARTON EDWARDS in 1939. Also included is an old envelope addressed to Edwards in Greenwich, CT postmarked 1937; on the inside of the envelope, Edwards has drawn two Paris street scenes in pencil. Most of the book is blank, but what is filled-in is extraordinary! Literally, one of a kind.

Das Werk wurde zwischen 1747 - 1764 heraugegeben, hier das Blatt 79 aus dem Jahre 1746. Der kolorierte Kupferstich auf Büttenpapier misst in der Darstellung ca. 21 x 19 cm ( Höhe x Breite ), Blattmaß ca. 29 x 22 cm. Am Unterrand von Edwards im Druck signiert und datiert aber leider ohne Angabe des dargestellten Vogels, gezeigt w…ird wohl ein Fasan. Das Blatt ist minimal fleckig bzw. fingerfleckig, rechte obere Ecke mit kleinem Eckabriß, rechter weißer Außenrand gering angeknickt mit geringen Randläsionen, insgesamt guter Zustand.
