Pictorial wrappers. Condition: Near Fine. SIGNED BY THE FORMIDABLE EDWARD SAID on the front free endpaper. An all-but-pristine copy to boot of this 1981 paperback reissue. Clean and Near Fine in its pictorial white wrappers. As the worlds of European and Middle Eastern scholarship well know, Edward Said (1935-2003) was a towering figure in Continental philosophy and postcolonialism, and was a revered professor of literature at Columbia for 40 years. His signature is notably scarce and appears to seldom come onto the market.
