Blue pebbled cloth with gilt titles, crest and embossed cover design of anchor, black endpapers. Wear at the corners, splitting to the paper over interior hinges - hinges intact and strong, else very good, text and plates clean, bright, no foxing. Scarce.

An associated letter dated September 27/1893 written on the publisher's letterhead with instructions from the author to insert a correction page for all unsold copies, tipped in on pp. xix. A very nice copy.
