Add to basketIn original blue half-cloth. First edition. Six volumes of printed typescript photocopies. Text mostly in German, partially in Hebrew and English. In original blue half-cloth. 154; 154; 151; 155; 149; and 128 leaves (four photocopy-pages per leaf). Extremely scarce, complete transcript of the interrogation of Adolf Eichmann. Con…fidential documents, issued by Bureau 6 of the Israeli Police. With some related document. After being captured by Mossad agents in Argentina in May 1960, Adolf Eichmann was brought to Israel where had been interrogated on a daily basis for a period of eight months, for a total of 275 hours. His interrogations were led by Avner Less (19161987) of Bureau 6, a special unit of the Israeli Police, assigned to develop evidence for Eichmann's trial. Less was the only investigator allowed to speak to Eichmann. All statements and questions were recorded on tape, then transcribed and typed. Subsequently, the transcription was handed to Eichmann for correction and confirmation, in Less' presence, and later forwarded in copies to the prosecutors. The present volumes contain the entirety of these corrected transcripts, counting a total of 3564 pages. Besides the transcripts, the first volume contains an explanation of the process of the interrogation and the "Confidential" documents by Commander Avraham Selinger, the head of Bureau 6, as well as the transcript of the conversation between Eichmann and Commander Ephraim Hofstädter, who delegated the interrogation to Less on 30 May 1960. With: Six photographs from the trial Eichmann in the glass cell, Eichmann in the detention cell, Eichmann in the prison yard, Gideon Hausner pointing at Eichmann sitting in the glass cell, and more. Some or all of them were taken by Gjon Mili. Approximately 13X18 cm. With: "List of witnesses who appeared on behalf of the public prosecution in the Eichmann trial" a printed list of one hundred and ten Holocaust survivors who testified at the trial (along with each name, the witness's serial number, the date, and a summary of the testimony). [5] Printed pages, approximately 33 cm. With: Two press releases on behalf of the State of Israel, following a complaint submitted by Argentina to the UN Security Council regarding a violation of its sovereignty (at the time of Eichmann's capture). June-July 1960. Hebrew and English Adolf Eichmann (19061962) was a high-ranking Nazi officer, one of the main architects of the Holocaust, facilitating and managing the logistics of the deportation of millions of Jews to ghettos and extermination camps. He stood trial in Jerusalem in 1961, was found guilty and was executed in 1962. Scarce, an utmost rarity on the market. . Chipped, small missing on the covers, 2 cover detached. Overall in very good condition. Photos are chipped First edition. Six volumes of printed typescript photocopies. Text mostly in German, partially in Hebrew and English.

Add to basketOne of a small number of copies of the interrogation transcripts, produced in limited numbers for members of the press covering the proceedings - "the enclosed material is to be considered 'Confidential'" (preface). Eichmann, one of the architects of the Holocaust, was captured by Mossad in Argentina in 1960, brought to trial in… Jerusalem, and hanged in 1962. Captain Avner Werner Less, Commander of the Israel Police, interrogated him for 275 hours. The interrogation was taped, and typed transcripts were made and provided to Eichmann to correct and confirm. These volumes comprise a photocopy of Eichmann's annotated original typescripts, in German, with a preface in English and Hebrew by Police Commander Avraham Selinger. This set is in superior condition to the handful of other copies that appear in auction listings. 6 vols, oblong quarto. Original blue quarter cloth, green card covers lettered in black. Some sunning and soiling, stain at book block head (not into text), minor wear to spines. In very good condition.
