April 1833. Auf der Constablerwache in Haft, machte er den Versuch, an einem Stricke… sich von dem Kerkerfenster herabzulassen, wobei der Strick riss, E. auf die Strasse stürzte und und eine Kopfverletzung und einen Schenkelbruch erlitt. Nachdem er im Hospital zum heil. Geist geheilt worden, wurde er ins Gefängniss zurückgebracht, dann aber an Baden ausgeliefert und eine Zeit lang auf der Festung Kisslau verwahrt. Später wurde er unter der Bedingung der Auswanderung begnadigt; er nahm seine med. Studien in Paris und der Schweiz wieder auf. Vollständig begnadigt, trat er in den Staatsdienst" (Hirsch-H.
