Miguel (roughly the equivalent of prime minister), he was forced to flee the country after D. Miguel was exiled.Francisco Eleutherio de Faria e Mello (Beja? 1789?-Lisbon, 1851) earned a law degree from Coimbra and was serving as a magistrate when he was called in 1826 to be part of the deputation headed by the Duque de Lafões that traveled to Brazil to inform D.
