An exhibition at New York's GROLIER CLUB of Jock Elliott's Christmas books (December 1999 through January 2000). 95 delightful pages with many color illus. of his volumes & their art. Eliott mentions in his intro that he began collecting after returning from World War II. He soon chose to concentrate on Christmas, and says "my childhood Christmases were magical". Most of his titles are true first editions with art by Thomas Nast, Denslow, Jessie Wilcox Smith, etc. An excellent Christmas reference. 96pp. Profusely illus in color & b/w.
