Clean and tight with bright gilt lettering and ruled hammer-and-sun design to black cloth boards. Minor rubbing to spine ends, light toning to paper; binding strong and square. Small sketch in pencil on inside rear board. Edition/Printing: 1951 printing of the revised Audels Carpenters and Builders Guide #3, following the 1939 and 1923 copyrights; part of the definitive four-volume trade manual set issued by Theo. Audel & Co., New York. Frank D. Graham (1889-1949) was an American mechanical engineer, educator, and prolific technical writer whose Audels series taught generations of tradesmen from the 1920s through the 1950s. His manuals, distributed in pocket-sized durable bindings, were used nationwide in vocational schools and apprenticeships.
