This book presents a collection of literary readings in German literature, selected to be accessible for younger pupils and lower secondary grades, alongside explanatory notes and a vocabulary. The readings are arranged into seven chapters, from anecdotes and descriptions, fables, and character traits to little stories, parables, fairy tales, and poems. By providing comprehension questions for many of the pieces, the book encourages students to engage with the text and develop both their reading and speaking skills. The readings are grouped by genre, offering a representative cross-section of German literature. The author has included contextual notes throughout to help readers understand the historical and literary background of each piece. This book provides an excellent introduction to German literature and language learning, making it a valuable resource for teachers and students alike. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
