The author endeavors to engage young readers by relating history in the form of verse and considers the role of individuals in history to be far less significant than the will of God. The author seeks to take readers beyond the dry region of mere facts and dates and even mere worldly consequences and lead them to think of their own standing before their creator. A child or young adult would find in this work a superb introduction to history. In 800 pages of short, readable sections, cleverly interspersed with historical dates, the author instills in his young audience concepts of right and wrong and the significance of morality. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
