Print. Condition: Very Good. This original, hand colored, engraving is from "The Scenery and Antiquities of Ireland" published by George Virtue, London, circa 1850. The scene was sketched by William Henry Bartlett (1809-1854) and engraved by Charles Cousen (1819 - 1889.) Dimensions including margins: 9.5" x 6.25". Light sun fading; no foxing; no chips or tears. Other colored illustrations from series available.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. c. 1840. A framed and glazed hand-coloured wood engraving of Yarmouth in Norfolk, with Nelson's Monument in the background. The framed measures approx 31 × 27cm, the mount's aperture is 21 × 15.5cm. It is framed in a Hogarth frame, with gilt decoration to the raised mouldings. An attractive engraving, taken from William Finden's The Ports, Harbours, Watering-Places and Coast Scenery of Great Britain (published 1836-1842). It shows the fisherfolk going about their business (mending nets etc), the estuary and with the Britannia Monument to Horation Nelson to the right with a number of people surrounding it. Condition: Very good condition, some light tanning to the edges but professionally framed and a decorative item.
