Etching printed on satin and stretched over board; 9½ by 7½ inches; some mild browning and rubbed corner tips; condition is very good to near fine. "Mein Liebchen was willst du noch mehr!" ("My darling, what more do you want!") an image of a traveling vagabond performer and street musician playing a hur…dy-gurdy, a hand organ. Printed in satin, this etching, circa 1880, by Carl Ernst Forberg (18441915) after Ludwig Knaus 18291910), appears to be an artist's limited edition of some type perhaps intended for a book illustration. "Con espressione" is captioned above a snippet of scored music. A German painter and etcher, Forberg taught art at the academy in Düsseldorf. An example of the etching (but printed on paper) is held at the Sammlung Archiv gür Kunst und Geschichte in Berlin.
