Auction catalogue for this internationally important collection, In addition to the George Cross the sale included Szabo's four other medals - the 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, War Medal 1939-45, and France, Croix de Guerre 1939-1940 with bronze star. Also included were her metalled badge of the G.Q. Parachute Company, letters, pass, National Registration identity card, and a number of other personal documents and photographs, creating an unique archive. The catalogue includes a brief biography and many moving comments from people who had the privilege of knowing Violette Szabo during her short life. The collection made a record price of £312,000 (a hammer price of £260,000), and the medals are now on public display in the Lord Ashcroft Gallery at the Imperial War Museum in London. A handsome catalogue in soft covers, as new.
