Boston, the North Shore, South Shore, Rhode Island, etc. A home on Tremont Street is listed for sale here at $ 27,000.00, and that was quite a sum for that era. Also shown are relevant transportation timetables and some display ads. Excellent copy.

8vo: 12 pp. Very good, in original blue cloth account book of twelve leaves, with title on label on front board. Label of Waterlow & Sons inside front cover. The entries spread across six sets of two facing pages, all ruled with red printed lines and in boxes and with the following seven categories printed at the head: 'No. on Plan'; 'DESCRIPTION.'; 'State of Cul[ivatio]n.'; 'Value per Acre'; 'Statute | A. R. P. [i.e. acreage]'; 'Value. | £ s. d.'; 'REMARKS.' The first entry, 'House Outbuildings, Garden &c', has the following under 'REMARKS': 'The House is old and does not meet modern requirements, but is in nice tenantable order'. Another entry ('Dan Briggs'), carries the comment 'Field on Grindle low side of Ribble, part of North E. Side of fence quite down, part of this is very liable to flood. Very badly washed by River & wants weiring full length of River side'. The value is carried forward, and the account ends, 'I have very carefully gone over this Farm and I estimate the top Market Value at £6335. | [signed] William S. Airey | Land Agent Whalley | 15 April 1904'.

This is a scarce original estate sale catalogue from 1951 for the sale of Mossey Green Farm, Ketley Bank, when the 70 acre dairy farm was sold in June of that year at an auction held at The Charlton Arms Hotel in Wellington, the lot comprising of the four page catalogue, along with a separate plan, and a couple of old drawings of scenes on the farm with the dairy herd that have been photographically copied at the time. The farm was later demolished and is now long gone with the land since built on with the M54 motorway and housing in the Shropshire town of Telford. The catalogue has been folded as have the plan and one of the images, so very noticeable creasing wear with some foxing, and some contemporary annotations in the catalogue, and further handwritten details to the rear cover with sale prices of wheat & straw from the farm, a nice scarce piece of local social history.

No Binding. Condition: Very Good. Original Map of the Sutro Heights area of San Francisco published by Real Estate developer Will E. Fisher in 1893 with a description of the means of purchasing and financing. Printed on two sides and folded in its original shape for mailing. Open it measures 17 1/4 X 21 inches. A remarkable document showing the development of San Francisco. Plots and destinguished and streets and house numbers labeled. Slight wear on folds. Very good.

Original printed wrapper with tipped on photo of Quenby Hall on the front wrapper. The item shows some wear, some sparse stains in the inside. Overall still in good condition. Loosely inserted are items pertaining to the estate and the history of the families : [1] An original engraving of Quenby Hall ( from the Gentleman's Magazine of Aug. 1814. [2] 2 original leaves torn out of a book '' Seats in Leicestershire - pp307 - 309. [3] A portrait of Joseph Foulkes Wricks - steel engraving, margins foxed. [4] A typescript letter, 6th jan. 1977, from the Squire de Lisle, Quenby Hall Hungarton to D. Ashby at Leicester, added to the letter are 9 folio pages with genealogical information, some corrected by hand, of the Ashby family. These leaves are photostat copies.[5] A colour publicity page, removed from probably ''The Times Magazine'' with publicity of wallpaper designs from Edith de Lisle's '' Quenby prints''. Fully illustrated auction sale catalogue of the Quenby estate at Hungarton. Good copy of an auction sale catalogue of one of the finest Jacobean houses in England. Well illustrated.
