Tracce di piegatura, piccole mancanze, ma ben conservata.Interessante e lunga lettera, priva di destinatario, in cui il Duca di Modena e Reggio Emilia Rinaldo I affronta lo stato corrente degli affari del suo ducat…o, vittima, come i vicini ducati di Parma e Mantova, di recenti invasioni prussiane nell'ambito della Guerra di Successione asburgica. Dopo aver duramente ?sofferto in quest'anno e per redimerci dai Prussiani [?] e poi nel ricevere a Quartiere un numero di Gente così grande sopra quella che hanno avuto gli Stati di Parma e di Mantova?, affinché ?il Nostro Paese resti Libero affatto da ogni altra sorte di Truppe?, il duca si impegna a pagare una grossa cifra di denaro sia in contanti che sotto forma di polizze di cambio da versarsi ad Augusta ?secondo gli ordini di Vienna, e di Milano..
