Very sad and racist poems like "Black & White" by Dorothy Dickinson or Sambo the Golliwog by Beryl Faulkner are included as well as a multitude of wonderful short stories by today lesser known women authors of teh early 20th century. With some beautiful illustrations touching on the Peter Pan Theme, Red Riding Hood, Animals and Children, Gnomes, Dwarfs, Fairies or stories like "The Elf, The Magician and the Nightingale" by Madge Williams.
