Turn your imagination loose -- think of the vast possibilities of the future." Edge wear with small scrapes and creases. Small loss at the bottom of the fore edge of the front cover. Celo tape and the top & bottom of the spine. The binding is solid and the book is holding together well. Small damp stain at the upper fore edge of the pages through page 9. Book store stamps inside the front cover and on the FFEP. Moderate browning to the pages. A decent reading copy.

Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Paperback original first edition thus, Berkley Books #G233 with "Berkley Edition, April, 1959" on its copyright page. This shelf-worthy copy is in very good+ condition, marred only by wear with a short closed tear on front top spine corner, a crease in its front hinge, a little spine lean, and traces of wear to cover edges. Its binding is tight, with no crease in its spine or back hinge. Covers are bright and unmarked, with white inside surfaces. Pages are unmarked and unworn, with unfaded publisher's yellow stain around edges of the text block. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description.

This anthology published by The Bodley Head Science Fiction Book Club reprinted three of the short novels originally collected in the US anthology "Year's Best Science Fiction Novels: 1953", with new jacket art by "C. Stewart" (Charles William Stewart.) This book is in very good condition, marred only by light bumps on its covers' spine ends and front top corner, plus some light foxing on its back endpaper and pastedown. Its binding is sound and square, with no spine crease. Covers are otherwise unmarked and unworn. Pages are unmarked and unworn. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is also in very good condition, bright and whole, marred only by two short closed tears in its top edge, some light wear in the top of its spine and flap folds, and some light soiling along its edges and folds, but otherwise unmarked and unworn.
