It has been crossed out, but perfectly visible, pp 123 ''and as that judgement was ('not' crossed out) to condemnation'', pp 134 ''for the dry try of the Cross could do much ('more' - added by hand with circumflex ^ below the line) then the green tree in the Garden of Eden.'' Early provenance 'Logan Pearsall Smith' - discrete in ink on right front free end paper, from the private library subsequent ownership simple bookplate to the front paste down of 'Hugh Trevor-Roper' of 'Last days of Hitler' and one of Logan's known followers.
