Wolf Erhardt Anton George Trutzschuler von Falkenstein (1902-1989) wrote five children's books under his pen name "Wolo"; after escaping Nazi Germany, he taught himself how to draw and lived and worked in San Francisco, where, in addition to book illustration, he painted murals and advertisement art. This volume is the first edition, and contains a special bookplate inscribed by the author. The front panel is clean and bright but has chips and tears along top and bottom edges, the longest of which is about 1.5". Dresden unter der Leitung von Otto Gussmann Kirchenmalerei. Er hatte Kontakt zu zahlreichen Künstlern der Avantgarde, darunter 1903 mit Otto Müller, 1909-10 zur den Künstlergruppen der Brücke und des Sturms in Berlin sowie zum Blauen Reiter in München. 1909 Mitbegründer der Neuen Sezession und 1918 war der Novembergruppe in Berlin. Nach seiner Übersiedlung nach Zürich hatte Helbig Kontakt zum Dada-Kreis hatte. In späten Jahren wandte er sich wandte der Abstraktion zu. - Im breiten Außenrand ganz blasse Atelierspuren.
