Soft cover. Condition: As New. 2011 original art by the widely appreciated pin-up and comic book artist Jun De Felipe, this being his vision of "Ultraviolet" (Violet Song), actually from the movie starring Milla Jovovich (see below). Fine, As New. Pastel pencil on art paper, 11" x 17", boldly signed and dated. See scans. Ultravi…olet - actually, Violet SongRed; Ultraviolet was the movie title for Kurt Wimmer's highly-regarded 2006 opus - is, but not really, quite yet, a classic comic-book warrioress archetype. Contrary to popular understanding, the movie was not based on an extant comic characte; and, AS a comic character, that character is, in fact, still evolving. As of this writing, there is a non-graphic novel and an online-available graphic "novel". So, stay tuned. Here, the comely and fetching young warrior-babe is shown in a distinctly non-threatening pose, reclining with her glasses on, very studious indeed. No sword pointing at you this time. Tender mercies. I'm going to say that Ultraviolet pin-up originals will become a collector category of their own. We will see. LART. De Felipe, Jun (illustrator).
