Rare in both institutions and commerce with two listings on WorldCat for a single copy at the BL this being Kearney 705. Pia's copy (number 30) in Bandy Center where his library was deposited in I think 1981. Provenance: from the collections of Jean Pierre Faur and Emmanuel Pierrat. A beautiful book that includes discussions of the outbreak of sexual hysteria at Loudon, Sade and the French Revolution etc. The satirical decorative vignettes and head and tailpieces in a Classical style, span the anti-clerical, blasphemous and even mildly zoophiliac. 219024.
