Seller: Between the Covers-Rare Books, Inc. ABAA, Gloucester City, NJ, U.S.A.
Softcover. Condition: Good. Stated third edition. Quarto. Originally two nested bifolia with a single sheet insert making ten pages. All pages either detached or nearly detached but all are present, notched and worn along the folds from once being bound within an album, soiling to the exterior, and age toning and light offsetting throughout, a complete but good only copy. An instrumental piece for piano inspired by Robert Burns' poem, "Scots Wha Hae, or, Robert Bruce's Address to His Troops at Bannockburn." This piece is dedicated to Miss Harrison of Castle Harrison Co. Cork. There is a chance this piece has been trimmed along the edges (though no content appears to be affected) to fit into an album as it is unusual for a piece published prior to 1918 to be this size, and though there is no date the presentation and state of the paper suggests this to be mid-19th century. *OCLC* locates only two holdings of this piece (one fourth edition, and one with no edition stated) and it appears to be equally scarce in the trade.
