"Der Bühnen-Vorstand", 1844) zusammen mit Karl Theodor von Küstner (1784-1864) "maßgeblichen Anteil an der Gründung des Deutschen Bühnenvereins 1846, dessen Vorsitzender er 1853 wurde. Gall war 1846-69 Intendant des Kgl. Hoftheaters in Stuttgart und danach kgl. Zeremonienmeister. Er reformierte u. a. die Praxis der Einsetzung von Dramaturgen und stellte Spielpläne mit zeitgenössischen und klassischen Dramen zusammen, mit denen er die historischen Schauspiele dem Publikum nahezubringen suchte" (DBE). - Zu Ellinger vgl.
