Er hatte es von seinem Vater, Maximilian Fick Sr. übernommen, der seine Lehre im Jahre 1900 abgeschlossen hatte. Es liegt der Sammlung die Durchschrift eines Briefes von 1949 bei, in dem der Senior die Gewerbescheine für sich und seinen Sohn an die Kammer zurückgibt.
