Very scarce.Illustrated with three colour folding maps to the rear of text.With a prior owner's stamp to the front endpaper, belonging to Donald Hilary Connolly (1886-1969). Connolly was the Major-General for the United States Army from 1942 to 1946.This is an educational work which covers Napoleon's various military campaigns from 1796 all the way to 1807. This work was used as course material at the United States Military Academy, with a list of the lessons as well as German and Italian pronunciations adhered to the front paste down.Written by Col. Gustav Joseph Fiebeger (1858-1939).Undated, so dated off of Jisc from a similar copy ('The Campaigns of Napoleon Bonaparte of 1796-1797', published in 1911) which was written by the author and is held at the British Library.Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart.Minimal bumping to the extremities with a bit of wear to the head and tail of spine as well as fading along the spine and the top edge of boards. A few marks to boards. Course information adhered to front paste down, with prior owner's stamp to front endpaper, as well as pencil inscription to rear endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean, with light age-toning to pages. Folding maps are very bright and clean, with a few spots. Very Good. book.
