Fisher (1885-1974), painter and cartoonist, was born and educated in Iowa and had a varied life including driving a freight wagon in Wyoming, maintaining signals on the Chicago Rock Island Railroad, painted murals at the US Post Offices in Mount Ayr and Forest City, Iowa, and lived in Woodstock, NY in the 1960s.
