Some dulling of the color from age, but no stains or tears or uneven fading. Title page dated 1945. Copyright page dated 1945. Second edition, with new preface. 396 pages. Inscription on the first blank… page, "With my very best wishes to Lieutenant General Robert C. Richardson, Jr, from Col Rowland W. Fixel. July 20, 1945." The first edition was 1927. This edition is much expanded. Scarce. And a nice association - Richardson was commander of all US troops in the Pacific during the latter years of WWII.
