First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. Stated First Edition. A Fair or reference copy of the 4to hardcover and dust jacket. Modest condition grade because of some moisture damage to the blue cloth covers--i.e., a somewhat bowed or warped front cover and some staining on the rear cover with related blue staining on the underside of the covering dj. The profusely illustrated contents (pictorial end papers, 552 pp.) appear clean and securely bound, albeit with a touch of riffling in the top margin and perhaps a bit of uniform age tanning. The pages' blue top edge has some spots and areas of fading. The page's bottom edge has a bit of dust staining at the fore edge as a result of the natural shelf fatigue found in a book of this size and weight. The dj, which is not price clipped ($21.00), has a few edge tears, is rubbed on the spine and flap edges, has a bit of staining/soiling in the rear, and has a moisture-related chip--i.e., no sharp edges--in the rear bottom corners. NOT an ex-library copy! **Extra charges will be required to cover postage costs on an expedited and/or international order because of the size of this book.
