Remake of John Ford's 1930 film, Blue titled wrappers, noted as FINAL on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 30, dated AUGUST 29, 1938. Distribution page present, with receipt INTACT. Title page present, dated AUGUST 29, 1938, noted as Final script, with credits for screenwriters Lou Breslow, and John Patrick. 152 leaves, with last page of text numbered 149. The names of the crew are given on the first covering page, and the cast of characters (but not the names of the actors playing them) on the second. An interesting artefact, indicative of the continuing reassessment and reinterpretation of the works of one of Britain's great writers. While its production values met with some praise, Wadey's adaptation was not particularly well received, the introduction of 'Gothic novel fantasies' meeting with particular criticism.
