Od letnich mesicu az do podzimu, pokud to pocasi dovolilo, se kacelo. V zime kaceni vystridaly same, pomoci nichz se priblizovalo drevo k potokum. Pri jarnim tani se po vode plavilo. A po ukonceni plavky prislo na radu zalesnovani vykacenych ploch. Snad i prilis prace umoznovalo breznickym zapomenout na odlehlost lokality a samotu.Pribehy lidi, ktere osud zaval do techto opustenych a nehostinnych mist, ale i udalosti, ktere se na Brezniku a jeho okoli odehraly, prinasi tato kniha.
