Julius Foust was the President of the State Normal and Industrial College (now UNCG) in Greensboro, NC. Isaac Griffin was the Superintendent of the City Schools in Marion, NC. Thomas Foust was the Superintendent of the Guilford County Schools, also from Greensboro.

This copy has stains on cover, some water markings, but text is clean as a whistle, though browned. Light professional restoration work. Only mark in book is previous owner's name on inside back cover: "Viola Pinnix, Dec. 8 -'09". Only copy on internet. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Hardcover. Condition: Poor. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. Ex Library copy. CA 1901 - 1905. Front cover is detached, but present. Rear cover barely attached. Heavy wear and rubbing to the covers. Spine cloth is missing except for about 2" inches with white numbers on it. Penned on the FFEP is Property of INGRAM LUMBER CO and a name and date of 10/12/08 [1908]. The map endpapers are soiled and have losses along the edges. The title page has a historical society stamp and corresponding loss to the bottom edge of approximately 1-1/2". Sewn binding thread is broken and the pages are starting to pull loose. Pages are stained. On the first 13 pages many of the properties have penned numbers and notes and are shaded in different colors. Some of the notes appear to refer to mineral rights. In the rear of the book is a library pocket holding a couple small pages from a Rusk County Township book. These pages are stamped Received Mar 15 1917 Curtis & Yale Co. Wausau WI. Also laid in is a map key to a map of Langlade County, WI, 1908 and a township map page of Part of Ackley. Glued to the rear inside cover is a sheet dated March 4, 1916 and it is a typed price list of lands owned by Ingram Lumber Company in the vacinity of Ingram, WI. ; 24A; 8-1/4 x 4-1/4"; 53 pages; Ex-Library.
