    Hardcover. Condition: Good. ] Hardback, 12mo, gilt and embossed dark brown cloth, 231 + 4 (ads) + 4 (more ads) pages, Good only. Spine ends and corners bumped and rubbed through + minor or a little worse overall surface wear. A fore-edge stain runs throughout most of the book, but stays in the margins and is of any amount of severity only to the last 60 pages. A pair of small, purple dingbats (decorative elements) stamped on FFEP and as well reappear a few other times in the book. Two previous owner labels (William H. Schmieding, Cincinnati) including one on the title page that had been pasted over another previous owner's signature (possibly a J.J. Edw.? Adams or some such).
