In 1870 the author left Iowa for Kansas and found a job as cowpuncher in Towanda Kansas. Over the next 10 years he drove cattle across the Great Plains and the Southwest experiencing brushes with outlaws and lawmen. His unpublished memoir details his song and poem days along with recollections of Charlie Siringo and Charles Colchord. A clean very presentable copy.
