Chapters cover history, botany and geographic distribution, soil, climate, propagation, establishing and managing the pecan grove, pests and hazards, varieties, composition and used of pecan kernals, the shelling industry, and culture in countries around the world outside the native range. A Trivia chapter offers an entertaining element. Brison was a Professor at A&M University. Bison is recognized by the pecan industry as one of the foremost experts in both the culture and management of pecans.
