Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. Runeberg, Fred (photographer) (illustrator). White cloth spine with blue boards. The pages are in good, clean condition. There is a short gift note on the front end paper and the back end papers have pencil scribbles. The cover has some edge wear, scuffing, small soil spots and some small white paint flecks. The print on the spine is mostly rubbed off. The text for the about Helsinki is in Finnish, Swedish and English. Some of the photo captions are in Finnish, English and French and some are in Finnish, Swedish, English, German, French and Spanish. Illustrated with black and white photography.

Contents ([16] + 96 pp.) feature 8 pages of color photography followed by 96 pages of b&w photography of Finland's capital. Photo captions are in Finnish, English, Swedish, French, German and Spanish! Blue boards with rubbed edges; white spine with gilt titling and a bumped tail. The color illustrated dust jacket has significant edge and spine wear, a scuff tear in front, and other light wear, but is in one piece. NOT an ex-library copy!

Beautiful book on Finnish postwar interior design, showcasing rooms influenced by both folk and Modern styles. Abundantly illustrated with nearly 200 photos of interiors, printed in rich sepia photogravure, with all designers noted. Very lovely book, most highly recommended. Rare. In very good condition overall - interior clean and unmarked save for previous owner's name on front free endpaper. Dust jacket shows some spotting and fading, and considerable wear to edges, with several small chips and tears.
