A hardcover book attractively bound in dark olive-green leather with gilt spine decorations, five raised bands on the spine, gilt dentelles, and a gilt top edge. Very good condition! The spine is darkened to brown, and there is a previous owner's bookplate inside the front cover. Very mild foxing on the page edges. Barely any chafing on the edges of the boards and spine. A few very small, faint scuff marks and blemishes on the front board. A beautiful sturdy copy in collectible condition! This is a collection of 20 plates being illustrations for Dickens' Oliver Twist. There is no text. The edition was limited to 200 copies, this is #148 and is one of 50 where the plates are colored. Contains a total of 20 plates and an illustrated title page.
