Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. First thus ("The First Time in English"). Hardback in dustwrapper. 22 × 14.5cm, 103pp. First published as a series of articles in 1872, "the greater part of this book was written as a polemic against petty-bourgeois socialism as represented by a German follower of Proudhon. This book is a clear elucidation of the Marxist conception of the housing question, especially as it relates to the nature of the state, the growth of industry, and the capitalist transformation of the countryside." Condition: The book is in very good condition, with a neat previous owner's name to the ffep and some tanning to the pages. The dustwrapper is tanned with some edgewear but nevertheless a very decent copy. The wrapper has been price-clipped but is now within a protective sleeve.
